Example Workshop Options:
There are many different types of basketry and we can develop a workshop suited to the skill level and outcome. For example:
- Participants can weave a fun simple basket for themselves
- All participants can weave a basket which can then be stitched together to create one large collective wall sculpture.
- Participants can weave a basket which they then need to hand over to another to finish – exploring ownership and teamwork
2-hour to full-day sessions. Custom-tailored for corporate teams, leadership groups, and organisations. Hands-on learning with expert guidance in nature-based weaving techniques
These workshops are inspiring, engaging, and transformative for teams looking to develop fresh ideas and new ways of thinking.

ABOUT CATRIONA POLLARD – Award winning fibre artist and international corporate speaker and trainer
Catriona Pollard is an internationally recognised speaker, trainer, and award-winning fibre artist whose work and teachings inspire deep connection, both with creativity and the natural world. Her motivational TEDx talk has inspired widespread audiences, blending professional development with personal transformation.
In 2012, approaching burnout, Catriona took a pivotal step. Realising she needed more than balance, she sought a deeper connection to creativity, not for perfection, but for play, exploration, and disconnection from the digital world. That turning point led her to nature-based art and traditional fibre techniques, sparking a personal and professional transformation. As a result, she not only reshaped her business with renewed vision and stability but also emerged as a celebrated contemporary artist. Through sculptural works made from foraged plant fibres and recycled materials, she investigates humanity’s relationship with nature, the unseen forces that connect us, and the interplay between light, shadow, and form.
Catriona’s intricate, handwoven sculptures are meditative explorations of connection, interconnection, and transformation. Her work has been recognised in solo, group and touring exhibitions, including the Australian Design Centre and Sturt National Craft Centre. She has been a winner and finalist in prestigious awards such as the Australian Textile Art Award, International Art Textile Biennale, Environmental Art & Design Prize, and Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize. Her work has been profiled by major media, including ABC TV, Gardening Australia and Good Weekend, SMH/The Age, and featured in the book Woven Together: Weavers and Their Stories.
