Toothful

This is a minature kelp water carrier made in the Tasmanian Aboriginal tradition. Its called ‘Toothful’ because my mum would use the phrase if there is a tiny amount of water left in a cup (for example) – not enough for a mouthful – only enough for a toothful.

Bull kelp (Durvillaea potatorum), river reed (Schoenoplectus pungens), shells (incl Black Crow).
